Vanco’s Richard Bauer will present a workshop “A Data-Driven Look: Building a Thriving Ministry in a Shifting Culture”
March 18, 2017 at Davies Center, University of Wisconsin – Eau-Claire Campus
Walking Together is a synod event for everyone – ministers, church staff and leadership and congregations – and is designed to share best practices in ministry. Participants will have the opportunity to choose from over 70 workshops that offer new ideas and concepts for faith formation, church leadership, social and ecological justice, and worship and music.
Richard Bauer will present a workshop titled “A Data-Driven Look: Building a Thriving Ministry in a Shifting Culture”. Learn how the e-giving data from nearly 4,000 ELCA churches is helping guide fellow ELCA churches in understanding how e-giving is positively impacting the financial health of congregations across the nation. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to “test drive” – text by phone, mobile (debit and credit card) and kiosk e-giving platforms at the conclusion of the workshop.

ELCA’s StewardCast is held with the purpose to thank, inform, teach, inspire and connect current and new steward leaders with fresh perspectives, practices and skills that address the challenges and issues faced in growing stewards in our households, congregations and communities.
Churches face the challenges of current culture and world issues while striving for a deeper understanding of what the resurrection of Jesus Christ means today. Addressing these circumstances is not a financial issue, but spiritual. The ELCA is energized by the opportunity to engage in lively conversation about faith and life, both individually and as a community of believers. This event invites and encourages us to do so from our role as stewards.
Vanco’s Richard Bauer will present a special presentation on “Growing Giving Online,” sharing success stories from ELCA churches.

The ICSC will hold their 54th Annual Conference on October 2-5 in New Orleans, Louisiana. We look forward to the opportunity to support bishops, pastors, CFOs and other diocesan and parish officers and leaders as they gather to learn about Christian stewardship and Catholic philanthropy worldwide.
We’re looking forward to meeting with members of the DFMC, who provide fiscal and administrative expertise to the local and national Roman Catholic Church, at their annual conference in San Diego, CA from September 18-21, 2016.
